Beginnings:
Mr. Amrein began
working with Master Builder software in 1987 and officially became
a consultant January 1, 1988, working with Master Builder versions
3 and 4. He built the first estimating data solution for Master
Builder 5 in 1990, which sold approximately 100 copies and became
the basis for the sample data distributed with Master Builder 7
and 2003.
Training:
In February of 1996, Ronald accepted an offer to work in the Technical
Support department, answering calls concerning the new Master Builder
version 6, the first Windows version of the software. The need for
training became very apparent and in January 1997 he began building
the Training department. The first task was selecting and training
a group of Master Trainers and re-starting the customer seminars.
Next to be tackled was the on-line training arrangement which made
product information more accessible. He then built a comprehensive
training program for the consultants (Pro-Advisors), including certification
testing. Finally, he added hands-on workshops to improve the retention
of the information presented.
Management and beyond:
During the time
he was working on training, he was a member of the management team
of Omware, Inc. In addition, he has assisted with the design of
Master Builder versions 6, 7, and 2003. Both as an employee and
as a consultant, he has assisted in the planning and organization
of the conference.
In May of 2001,
the president of the company asked Mr. Amrein to start another
new project: Estimating Data. He managed the group that built 4
sets of data for the estimating module, as well as revising the
2 others. In the process, Ronald authored a universal part numbering
scheme for which Intuit has filed a patent application.
